2001-2006 [RIP]
This was a band from Miami, Florida. Ska punk, ska-core with horns.
Some songs are too poppy for me, but "President Alone" from 2006 album is a totally awesome one!
Vocals and horn section is great. There are some other good songs to check out like Hometime Pride, Weiss,...
And cover for Depeche Mod "Enjoy The Silence" is a hit!
Just wish 2006 release was recorded in better quality..
Oh and there is a Raining Blood cover in 2004 EP for Slayer fans.

Two guys from Bayonne/Jersey City, NJ who play crack rock. They got also a drummer for that EP.
First EP is very very nice! I'm not a huge coffee fan but i like the title of it and the idea. There is also a strong pop punk influence in the music, which must admit, i enjoyed too. And i liked all the tracks, even though You Make Me Sick has kinda too simple lyrics. Second EP, unfortunately, is not as catchy as the first one but definitely worth to check out.

The band was out of Kent County, Maryland. They played old school punkrock by adding some oi and ska. Life's A Scar is a great ska punk track. Pix On Me sounds pretty cracky, that's sweet too. Also would like to mention such good punk songs like Convert Or Be Destroyed, Kent Punx, Social Skrew.

OK, this is not a band. That's a collective. And i love that idea!!!
"The Comrades Collective was conceived between miles of abandoned farm lands and the always-tempting concrete jungles that make up home."
This is, actually, Lancaster & Allentown in Pennsylvania.

They play in lots of styles and even though there are only two songs that can be called Angry Ska i want them be here and join "Angry Ska collective")) This music is awesome, i like almost everything! Crack rock fans should love em. Started with acoustic songs and later progressed into more powerful sound.

The RedLights [USA]

A DIY band from Grand Rapids, Michigan. They play ska punk with keys, main female vocals are quite specific. They also have guest horns on They Stay Rebel (imho best track). I really enjoy first half of the EP! Last 3 songs are kinda boring for me.
The RedLights are planning to release a split 7" with another Michigan-based band in a few months and full-length next spring.

OK! Hell0 everyone! Angry Ska christmas(?) starts early!
Im preparing a bunch of exclusive posts to put up this week and maybe next too.
I know i was a bastard last months... but cause of some shithappening in my life i have an extra time now))
SO STAY IN TOUCH! This post should be the start.

2008-PRESENT
Nice ska-core band coming out of Eugene, Oregon. They even sound a lil cracky. Great screaming vocals, lots of offbeat and quite specific horns (trumpet) which sometimes sound kinda latin (like in A Thousand Times). Not only punk and ska here, u can also find some metal riffs (In My Mind). The whole album sounds pretty solid. Only Rock The 40 Oz has no ska and stands a little aside. Must admit I like all the songs on the album, but the favorites would be Shot Down, Rock The 40 Oz, Broken World, In My Mind, Fade Away. First of all these guys reminded me of awesome canadians True Trout. And I had the same thing here, while listening to them in a wrong mood. So don’t be too lazy to check em out for the second time, if the first one wasn’t successful. Also second song In My Mind reminded of Stuck Lucky. Manitoba Lights have managed to surprise me in a good way and I think they do bring something fresh into the scene. Further work on back vocals and adding trombone or sax can improve the sound.

Nice ska punk, some songs reminded me of The Good Skamaritans (especially Fall Down) but mostly their music is angrier and more old school and that's good. I really enjoy most of the songs. They've also released lighter EP Swift Street, even though i don't like it, u can still check out the songs from it on myspace.

Band from St. Petersburg, Florida. They mix different styles. 2008 release has sweet ska punk tracks like Dr. Goonface and Skamageddon. Red Diaper Doper Babies is interesting track too. Steel drum brings something new to the genre.
Later almost all of the members changed and they started playing lighter and slower music. In 2009 they released full-length Rise Of Pink Flamingos which, unfortunately, does not fit this blog (and my taste). But u may check it out)

Talking about their music i can say that Last Transmission sounds old school

is different, it's more chaotic, heavier, metallic, experimental and modern.
