Made Of Koncentrate [Canada]

[post updated on September 25th, 2011]

[RIP]
Great ska/punk/hardcore band with some metal influences.
Strong horn section and good vox. Songs in english.

I couldn't find a lot of information about them.
But i know they were from the capital of Quebec province - Quebec City.
I think that's the most beautiful city in Northern America. Loved it.
In early 2009 they told me they are getting back together and promised new album in half a year or so, but no luck(

The Best Of The Worst [USA]

[post updated on November 9th 2012]

Sorry for such a long break, working a lot last weeks.
I have a lot of rare stuff in my collection, but first my own rip...

TBOTW is one of the local NJ bands, from North Brunswick. Ska-core/ska punk, quite chaotic and catchy sound. Screaming and sweet vocals. Choruses are great. Sometimes a lil poppy, but i like em anyway.
And they are great live.

The Dumpers [Australia]

[post updated on November 9th 2012]

The band was born somewhere in Queensland in Australia around 2001.
The Dumpers started as a three-piece, in 2003 they released Business As Usual,
that happened to be their only release.
Later appeared that they have some unreleased albums too))
Right now it looks like the band is dead.

THE DUMPERS ON FACEBOOK

Describing the music, that's a great ska punk in a crack rock steady way with riot lyrics and no horns.
Unreleased tracks are quite different. More experimental, less political, less crs, something happened to vox))
Both albums sound quite interesting and fresh for me.

Fatter Than Albert [USA]

[post updated on November 10th 2012]

2004-2010[RIP]
Fatter Than Albert was a band from New Orleans, Louisiana.
I can describe their music as pretty chaotic and intense ska punk with mostly screaming vocals and with some jazz elements.
They experiment a lot, that's why the sound is really unique.

Leek And The Bouncing Uptones [South Africa]

(post updated on April 25th 2011)

1994-2002/2003 [RIP]
5 guys from Pretoria, the capital of South Africa. At first the name of the band was Leek and they played skate punk. Later they added trumpet and trombone, soon the name was changed to LATBU. They started playing ska punk, ska-core. The band influences for that time were: Capdown, Link 80 and Voodoo Glow Skulls.
They've toured UK and were planning a US tour in 2003, but something went wrong.

Members:
Andrew Wright - guitar, vocals; Jaco Pretorius - bass; Mpho Mahura - trumpet and etc.;
William Bishop - trombone; Pieter Strydom - drums.

They've released 3 albums and were working on 4th. I still couldn't find first two: It Was Just An Idea (1996) and Punks Golfing Again (1997). But i suppose all those tracks went into compilation album Kicking Back The Years which u can download. Latest album (Roll The Dice) was released on british label 20 Deck Records in July 2001. Also in "other tracks" u can find two tracks recorded live on a show later and great song Trapped from the unreleased album.

Great horns, sweet bass lines. No Consent is awesome
